Kahlua Brownie Toffee Trifle

Because you asked...here's the recipe. Trifles are one of my favorite desserts since they are easy to throw together, but are also elegant in presentation. This one has always been a crowd favorite...because, well...what's not to like? :)

Ingredients:
  • 1 box Brownie Mix (For A 13x9 Pan)
  • ½ cups Kahlua (or Bailey's)
  • 1 package Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding Mix
  • 16 ounces, fluid Half-and-half
  • 1 tub Cool Whip
  • 1 bag Miniature Heath Bars, Chopped

Directions:

Make brownies according to package. While brownies are baking in a 9×13 pan, mix together pudding and half-n-half in a medium-sized bowl using a wire whisk until thick.

Refrigerate.

When brownies are fresh from the oven, pour Kahlua or Bailey's evenly over the top (you want to completely saturate the brownies, so use more if necessary! ;)). Allow to cool completely (I put the whole pan in the freezer). Once cooled, cut into 1″x 1″ squares.

Layer ingredients into a trifle bowl, starting with half the brownie squares, followed by half the pudding mixture, half the whipped topping and topped with 2 or 3 handfuls of Heath chunks. Repeat layers once more with remaining ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
