I pulled them out of the box and a single tear of glee slid down my cheek. The sweet aroma of new leather filled the air and for a moment I had to catch my breath. "You're finally here," I whispered, as I effortlessly slid them on, one foot at a time. A perfect fit...my own glass slippers. I thought this day would never come...


I am painfully aware that it is incredibly nerdy to do a photo shoot with a pair of boots. I also think my neighbors are a bit weirded out by the strange lady sprawled on the sidewalk with a camera. Or maybe that I talk to my shoes. Um, did you LOOK at the boots?!

If they had only seen them, they would understand.
