How I'm Feelin'

Do you ever have the problem where you look forward to something for so long, that when it finally comes, it flies by much too fast and you wonder where the time went?? Oh, I'm feeling that today... I'm trying not to be so sad, but I also can't believe the weekend is over already and I find myself back in the office, sitting behind a desk, resenting my job and wishing I was in Denver...and honestly, just altogether unsatisfied with my state of being right now. I feel bad about it because I have a great job and great friends, but I feel like I'm "stuck" here right now and it's making me feel like a caged bird. I'll be honest, this is where my patience, faith and trust are ultimately challenged. I've felt from the beginning that I would be in Denver by November, but I haven't had any bites on the house (which, being realistic, I just "officially" put on the market 2 weeks ago), October is just a week away, and my faith is wavering and I'm wondering if November was my time-frame or what I felt like the Lord was telling me. I booked my flights for Christmas out of Denver, and now I'm wondering if I should be looking into adding a leg from Nashville or just continue to believe I'll be in Denver by then?? Where is the line of being "practical" and the line of continuing to hold out for what I believe is just around the corner?? Then of course you add the fact that people are losing jobs and it's not an ideal time to start at the bottom with a company where I may not have a lot of job security, but honestly...I never want to live my life in fear of the "what if". Those are the times where you just trust the Lord and if you know he's calling you to go...you go...and let the rest happen as it needs to happen.

So, all that to say...I'm having a sad day. I had some good convo with the Lord this morning, but I still can't seem to kick this "need a good cry" feeling. I'm needing a miracle and I'm needing more faith to believe for one. All it takes is one person to buy my house, and all it takes is one day for it to happen, but I'm needing that mustard seed of faith to believe for that one person right now. It's possible some chocolate might help too... :)

On a separate yet related note, I'm loving Bebo Norman's newest cd these days. Today in particular, the song "The Only Hope" is playing on repeat. Here are the lyrics...

I want to run, it's my nature to run
And I want to fight, it's my nature to fight
And I want to live, but you tell me to die
I have resolved that I'm much better off
In your hands than mine

I'm begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to take my life from me
I want a crumb, but you are a feast
I want a song, but you are a symphony
I want a star, but your a galaxy

And I have resolved that I'm much better off
In what you have for me
I'm begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to take my life from me
So tell me you won't let go
Tell me you won't let go
Cause you are the only hope for me
Take my life from me, It's the only hope for me
Take my life from me, It's the only hope for me
And I'll never want for more
I'll never want for more

I'm begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to hold on tight
Begging you to take my life from me
So tell me you won't let go
Tell me you won't let go
Cause your the only hope for me
You're the only hope for me
Yeah, your the only hope for me
